Art on car, art on stage
Volvo’s Art Session sees yearly a group of artists succeed each other to create a bold artwork on a stage featuring one of their landmark vehicles as part of the design.

FatCap consulted to bring in Etam Cru, up and coming stars from the scene as part of the 2013 edition. The duo was given 8 hours to create an artwork that would shift the perspective of the space while covering the previous artist’s piece.
With their usual playfulness, Etam Cru decided to make the car left on stage ‘disappear’ at the core of a soap box car driven by a child. The design became one of the highlights of the program.
The event video is a good example of how the performance can be translated into a great, viral material, creating long-lasting impact on the audience.
